1. Main Features
Our ER309, ER309L, and ER309LSi stainless steel welding wires are engineered for exceptional performance across various demanding welding applications. These wires are designed primarily for welding dissimilar steels, including joining stainless steels to carbon or low alloy steels, and are also excellent for overlaying and building up surfaces.
² ER309: This welding wire is ideal for joining stainless steel to other dissimilar steels. It offers excellent tolerance against heat and corrosion, making it suitable for high-temperature environments.
² ER309L: Featuring a lower carbon content, ER309L minimizes the risk of carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion. This makes it perfect for applications that require a high degree of corrosion resistance without compromising the integrity of the weld.
² ER309LSi: Incorporating a higher silicon content, ER309LSi enhances the fluidity of the weld pool, leading to smoother bead appearance and better wetting at the toe of the weld. This version is particularly effective for achieving aesthetically pleasing welds with excellent surface finish.
Application: All three types are excellent for both MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding processes, ensuring robust welds in both automatic and semi-automatic welding setups.
